Once more it becomes our duty to record the obituary of a departed neighbor who was stricken down by the hand of death.  The one who received the summons being Mary Elizabeth Farquhar, who was born in Knox Co., O., on the 1st. day of January 1833, died on the 22nd. of August, 1894.  Mary was the eldest daughter of Albert G. and Hannah Farquhar, who were former residents of this vicinity, and were well known throughout the Richland and Knox Co's.    But this aged couple emigrated to the "land from whence no traveler ever returneth" several years ago.  They were the parents of three daughters, Mary E., Ruthanah and Malvina.  Thus one link of this chain which bound the sisters together has been broken, one loved one has been called away.

The deceased has been in poor health for several months and has been quite a sufferer for several weeks, with an abcess of the brain, until death relieved her pain.  The bereft sisters have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.  

Funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased on Friday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. J.E. McGee, of Fredericktown, after which the remains will be interred in the Quaker Cemetery, by the side of father and mother.

The Misses Farquhar, desire to thank their neighbors for the kindness and help rendered during their sad afflictions.
